Job Description :

Liason with Buying & Merchandising Teams to work closely on the marketing calendar & get vendors to participate & sponsor the campaigns.

Look out for opportunities in the environment & approach external parties for suitable alliances for the planned marketing campaigns.

Execution of all assigned promotions. Planning and execution of below the line initiatives to support store promos

Identify and develop vendors for various Marketing Processes

Assist in co-coordinating work with Store Marketing for execution of promotions, PR Support, printing, local catchments’ initiatives etc.

Co-ordination of vendors/printers to garner best quotes and timely delivery of material

Local tie-ups with Companies, alliances and Sponsorships

Build relationships with unit level team and execute marketing plans through team work at front end.

Executing and delivering within the budget and expected performance standards.

Job Description :

Product Development and working with vendors on range development.

Responsible for buying for the stores. Negotiate with new suppliers on product pricing, payment terms, cost of freight, provision of training, and the extent of their involvement in advertising and promotions, to decide on placing a purchase order with the supplier for the concerned product.

Will be responsible for benchmarking across all stores and prepare periodical reports

Maintain profitable relationships with existing suppliers & adherence to the contract terms.

Monitor the stock levels in the stores; coordinate with the store personnel to maintain optimal stock levels in line with the consumer demand. Replenishments of Stores.

Support the promotional activities in the store and ensure the merchandise is available in time and in right quantities. 



Job Title : Trader- Sports

Position purpose:

To manage the stock and intake of each option within a department throughout its life, ensuring that availability is maintained at all times and in accordance with the assortment plan and to execute agreed actions to maximise the sales and profitability of each option at minimum risk.

Job Specification:

Total work experience: 1-3 years

Qualification: MBA (Marketing/Finance).

Age: 24 – 28 years.

Job Description:

The job entails following:

Strategic Planning

  • To contribute to the development of the divisional Buying and Merchandising strategy and to work within this strategy at all times.

Option Management

  • To contribute to the development of option plans and to maintain the library of option sales trends.

  • To work with the Buyer to track progress against the agreed critical path for each option

  • By liaison with, and through influencing suppliers, to progress the availability of product in line with agreed dates and to ensure that contracted intake is re-phased in line with changes to requirements

  • To monitor weekly sales, stock and intake for each individual option within a department and to ensure that future projections are realistic and in line with stock availability

  • Ensure that option level breaking stocks meet plan, and sales are maximized, by pro-actively making fully researched recommendations to the merchandiser and buyer in terms of proposed cancellation, re-buy and re-pricing activity..

  • To ensure that agreed re-buys and cancellations are acted upon and to make the appropriate changes to the stock file.

  • To ensure that the SKU stock of each option matches its selling ratio and size balancing takes place for repeat buys and flow lines

  • To execute price changes and to raise contracts and purchase orders as necessary.

Supplier Management

  • Produce a regular report of Supplier availability performance, including details of action taken to date, and to suggest ways of improving poor performers.


  • To ensure that the buyer is promptly informed of all issues concerning departmental performance.

  • To assist the buyer in the preparation of all performance analysis.

  • To act as the deputy to the buyer in their absence wherever appropriate.

  • To understand the interests of both internal and external customers at all times and to act in their interests at all times.

  • As a key member of the team to contribute to, and fully participate in, all regular reviews and presentations.

  • To contribute to the development of merchandising processes and best practices.

  • To ensure that the agreed personal development plans is achieved.
